We started Smiling Dog Photography from our passion for animals and the art of photography. We found ourselves having problems (and facing hefty fees) of taking all of our dogs somewhere for family photographs. That sparked the idea that we could offer something different. We wanted to offer in home photography that doesn't charge extra for having more than one pet or force customers in to having to buy photo packages. And, as dog owners, we understand the patience and determination it requires to get the best photos of your pets. Most importantly, we offer our services affordably because we love what we do and this shows when we are in your home and with your pets. We also offer outdoor only shoots, so we can meet you at your favorite park or any other location you prefer.

Debbie and I have four dogs; Daisy, Peyton, Hazel, and Stewie, and they are the loves of our lives.

Daisy is a nine year old puggle who was the shyest of her litter, which is what attracted Debbie to her. As it turns out, Daisy has been blind since birth, but you would never know it by watching her. She has adapted extremely well.

Peyton is a seven year old Peke-pug that we adopted from the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue. He has a long story himself, which I won't go in to here, but he is the sweetest boy you could ever meet. He is also the face on our logo.

Hazel is our six year old Boston Terrier. We got her from some friends who have both of her parents. She is a tall and lean Boston, who has the cutest face.

Stewie is our four year old puggle who also was adopted from the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue. He was, and still is, the runt of the litter, but he is as rotten as they come.

I am an accomplished photographer with over twenty five years of practical experience in both film and digital photography. Through the years, I have photographed everything from NASCAR and IndyCar to nature and animals of all sorts. I am always learning and love trying new techniques behind the camera and in photo editing.

Debbie and I are both trained in pet first aid including CPR, too.

All of our dogs love treats from Pugs in the Kitchen!
